Our Story
Nearly 60 years ago, Jack R. Schmitt began his career in the travel industry. His legacy lives on through his son John R. Schmitt, who grew their original single agency to five agencies in mid-Michigan. Most recently in 2020, John R. Schmitt and his daughter Abby M. Schimke opened Grand Traverse Travel, with the vision to better serve Northern Michigan with 5-star service and personalized opportunities to see the world.
